Soccer Game Preview: Fairfield Prep vs. Xavier

The Fairfield Prep Jesuits will head out on the road to take on the Xavier Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Fairfield Prep's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They came out on top against Hand by a score of 2-0.

Meanwhile, Xavier hasn't lost a match since October 1st, a trend which continued in their latest game on Thursday. They blew past Wilbur Cross 3-0. Considering Xavier have won nine matches by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Xavier pushed their record up to 16-2-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three matchups. As for Fairfield Prep, their record now sits at 9-4-5.
