Basketball Recap: Effingham County Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Effingham County lost to Statesboro back in December of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Rebels had to suffer through a 67-38 loss at the hands of the Blue Devils. While losing is never fun, the Rebels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 429th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 155th).

Despite the defeat, Effingham County saw an underclassman step up: freshman Jordynn Lee posted seven points and 13 rebounds. With that strong performance, Lee is now averaging an impressive 8.3 boards per game.

Niya Wadley went supernovafor Statesboro, dropping a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Kennedy Myers was another key player, dropping a double-double with ten points and 15 boards.
