Baseball Recap: Memphis Comes Up Short

Memphis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Clarendon Broncos. The Cyclones lost against the Broncos in their previous head to head back in April of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 25-0 score last time.

Memphis' defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Clarendon, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Memphis will venture away from home to square off against Lockney at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Clarendon, they will head out to challenge Floydada at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Floydada will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Clarendon surely won't give up without a fight.
