Recap: Olathe Pirates vs. West Grand Mustangs
The Olathe Pirates scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 69-23 win over West Grand. The win was a breath of fresh air for Olathe as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Olathe found their leader in underclassman Isaiah Gordon, who scored 29 points. Another player making a difference was Miguel Vargas, who scored 13 points.
Olathe's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-9. As for West Grand, they dropped their record down to 1-10 with that defeat, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Olathe won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Cedaredge at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. Hopefully Cedaredge focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 last Saturday.
