Volleyball Recap: Desert Edge Takes a Loss

If Desert Edge was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Mountain Pointe last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Scorpions took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Verrado Vipers on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Scorpions of the 3-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Desert Edge was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Verrado work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 27-25, 20-25, 25-12.

Desert Edge's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Verrado, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-4.

Desert Edge wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Glendale on the 26th. As for Verrado, they have also already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Independence on the 26th.
