The Oberlin The Phoenix 's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They suffered a tough 55-34 defeat at the hands of Wellington. Oberlin was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-13.
Oberlin lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Isaiah Jones-Smith, who scored 11 points. Joe Holt was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Oberlin's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Wellington, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.
Oberlin will head out on the road to face off against Brooklyn at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
