Baseball Recap: Jackson Makes It 15 in a Row on the Road

Jackson barely beat Greenup County the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Ironman/Ironladies blew past the Musketeers 14-3 on Thursday. The Ironman/Ironladies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by eight runs or more this season.

Noah Ernst was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and five RBI. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Eli Ray also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Jackson was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .412. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Greenup County only posted a batting average of .222.

Jackson's win was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for Greenup County, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-18.

Coming up, Jackson will welcome Warren at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Greenup County, they will square off against Russell at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
