Volleyball Recap: Moriarty Comes Up Short

Moriarty was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Clovis Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Pintos of the 3-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-14, 24-26, 25-14.

Michaela Dunn paced Moriarty's offense, picking up nine kills. Dunn got some help from Lily Shelby and her 13 assists. Kristina Means controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Moriarty's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Clovis, their victory bumped their record up to 6-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Moriarty will take on Estancia at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Clovis, they will square off against St. Michael's at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
