Basketball Game Preview: Biloxi Indians vs. Laurel Golden Tornadoes

The Biloxi Indians will take on the Laurel Golden Tornadoes at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Laurel took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Biloxi, who comes in off a win.

On Tuesday, Biloxi beat Pascagoula 54-42. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Biloxi to victory, but perhaps none more so than Carnellous Lenard, who went 8-for-13 to rack up 19 points. That's the most points Lenard has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Christian Gullett, who scored 12 points and four steals.

Meanwhile, Laurel played a tough game on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Hattiesburg 60-13. The defeat continues a trend for the Golden Tornadoes in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost eight in a row.

Biloxi's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Laurel, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Biloxi came up short against Laurel in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 53-42. Can the Indians avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
