Baseball Game Preview: Miami Vandals vs. Gilbert Classical Academy Spartans

The Miami Vandals are taking a road trip to challenge the Gilbert Classical Academy Spartans at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Miami has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since February 28.

Miami came up short against Globe on Wednesday, falling 20-3.

Miami saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cooper Gore, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one triple. Those three RBI gave Gore a new career-high. Ethan Guthrey also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Gilbert Classical Academy's offense. They lost 17-0 to San Tan Charter on Wednesday. The Spartans just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Gilbert Classical Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-4-1. As for Miami, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-10.

Miami suffered a grim 11-1 defeat to Gilbert Classical Academy in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can Miami avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
