Volleyball Recap: Barnesville Beats Harrison Central for Their Third Straight Victory

Barnesville had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Harrison Central Huskies. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 last Tuesday.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Barnesville took both sets by at least 16 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-9.

Avery Bliss paced Barnesville's offense, picking up seven kills. Bliss got some help from Makenna Marley and her 18 assists. Marley also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Aiva Leasure, each putting up four.

Barnesville's victory bumped their record up to 9-13. As for Harrison Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.

Barnesville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Harrison Central, they have already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Wellsville on the 8th.
