Gig Harbor came tearing into Saturday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Capital Cougars. That's two games straight that the Tides have won by just one run.

Gig Harbor's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 24-1. As for Capital, their loss dropped their record down to 15-8.
