St. Michael-Albertville is a perfect 8-0 against Edina since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Knights will head out on the road to square off against the Hornets at 4:30 p.m. St. Michael-Albertville will be strutting in after a victory while Edina will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, St. Michael-Albertville turned things around against Buffalo on Thursday. They walked away with a 6-3 win over the Bison.

Meanwhile, Edina was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of Eden Prairie.

Edina saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mia Kapoor, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Lucy Grennan also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Edina's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for St. Michael-Albertville, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4.

St. Michael-Albertville was able to grind out a solid win over Edina in their previous meeting back in April, winning 7-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
