 Deer Creek-Mackinaw is 0-6 against Tri-Valley since April of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Thursday. The Deer Creek-Mackinaw Chiefs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Tri-Valley Vikings at 4:30  p.m. Both teams come into the  contest bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
 Deer Creek-Mackinaw is hoping to deliver their fans another blowout  on Thursday, just like they did against Lexington (and have done all season long). Deer Creek-Mackinaw beat Lexington on Wednesday by the very same score they won with in their prior game:  12-2. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for Deer Creek-Mackinaw.
  Kenzie Knowles made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She  pitched five innings while giving up just two earned runs off   seven  hits. Knowles was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 2-for-4 with a  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Lexi Cottingham, who  fired off two  home runs, four  RBI,  and a  double while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Kate Schmidgall, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.
 Meanwhile,  there's no place like home for Tri-Valley, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road  on Friday. They walked away with  a   6-3  win over Heyworth  on Monday.
 The  victory  got Deer Creek-Mackinaw back to even at 7-7. As for Tri-Valley, their win was  their fourth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 8-7.
