Soccer Recap: Freedom Comes Up Short

Freedom was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They lost 10-2 to the Charles J. Colgan Sharks. While losing is never fun, Freedom can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 200th, while Charles J. Colgan are ranked 15th).

Freedom's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Charles J. Colgan, they pushed their record up to 8-2-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Freedom will challenge rival Forest Park at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Charles J. Colgan is set to take on their familiar foe Potomac Senior at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
