Basketball Recap: Antwon Young's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Therrell over North Atlanta

Therrell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 56-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Atlanta Warriors. The Panthers were not able to make up for their loss to the Warriors from their previous meeting back in November of 2024.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Antwon Young, who posted 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Morion McWhorter, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten rebounds.

Therrell's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for North Atlanta, their victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1.

Therrell has already played their next game, a 67-62 loss against Westlake on the 22nd. As for North Atlanta, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 75-64 win against Lovett on the 24th.
