Basketball Recap: Horton Takes a Loss

After flying high against Jefferson County North last Monday, Horton came back down to earth. The Horton Chargers took a 61-43 bruising from the Troy Trojans on Friday.

Harper Whetstine continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Troy, going 9-for-16 on her way to 29 points in addition to six assists and six rebounds. Whetstine's morning made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. Allie Franken was another key player, dropping a double-double with 12 points and ten boards.

Horton's loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Troy, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-1.

As of now, neither Horton nor Troy have any future games scheduled.
