Basketball Recap: North Raleigh Christian Academy Falls Short of Forsyth Country Day in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact North Raleigh Christian Academy can now relate to. They lost to the Forsyth Country Day Furies on the road by a 51-36 margin on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Furies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 66-51 back in November of 2024.

North Raleigh Christian Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Khloe Moye, who almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds, and Presley Ray, who posted seven points and seven boards. The dominant performance also gave Ray a new career-high in shooting accuracy (75%).

Forsyth Country Day was led to victory by Lila Kelly and Gigi Lyons. Kelly scored 18 points, while Lyons had 18 points. The game was Kelly's fifth in a row with at least 18 points.

North Raleigh Christian Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 12-12 record this season. As for Forsyth Country Day, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-11.

North Raleigh Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Forsyth Country Day, they will head out to face off against Cannon at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Cannon is on a six-game streak of home wins, Forsyth Country Day a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
