Preview: Antioch Bears vs. Sycamore War Eagles
The Antioch Bears will take on the Sycamore War Eagles in a holiday battle at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday at. Antioch is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road.
Antioch has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 29 points or more this season. They blew past Grace Christian Academy, posting a 66-27 victory on the road. Given Antioch's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 34th, while Grace Christian Academy is ranked 258th), the result on Saturday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Sycamore's game on Friday was all tied up 32-32 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They strolled past Cheatham County Central with points to spare, taking the game 62-47.
Antioch's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Sycamore, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.
