Chesterton came tearing into Monday's contest with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Valparaiso Vikings. This was payback for the Trojans, who suffered a 3-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Chesterton walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 25-17, 25-14, 25-18.

Their offense was headlined by George O'Connor and Jack Rodriguez, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Declan Ringler and his 25 assists. Finally, Bryton Oliver kept Chesterton's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.

Chesterton's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0.

Chesterton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against La Porte on the 2nd. As for Valparaiso, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Michigan City on the 1st.
