Softball Recap: Tallmadge Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Tallmadge waltzed into their match on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They skirted past the Copley Indians 9-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Blue Devils have posted since May 3, 2024.

Leila Staszak was incredible, firing off two home runs and five RBI while going 3-for-4. Those home runs marked the first that she launched this season. Marissa Charton was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

Tallmadge was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .448. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Tallmadge's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Copley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-5.

Coming up, Tallmadge will head out on the road to challenge Stow-Munroe Falls at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Copley, they will host Aurora at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
