While Excel's win against Sweet Water wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Panthers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Bulldogs on Monday. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Excel's victory bumped their record up to 14-12. As for Sweet Water, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Excel will welcome Hillcrest at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sweet Water, they will host Marengo at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of.
