Volleyball Recap: Columbus East Comes Up Short

Columbus East lost against Madison back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Olympians fell 3-1 to the Cubs.

The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 22-25, 25-17, 25-14.

Columbus East has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-15 record this season. As for Madison, the win snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 13-11 record.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Columbus East is set to challenge their familiar foe Warren Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Madison will square off against rival Columbus North at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in the Cubs' favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while the Bull Dogs have been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
