Football Game Preview: East Rochester Bombers vs. Batavia Blue Devils

The East Rochester Bombers are taking a road trip to face off against the Batavia Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (East Rochester 7.7, Batavia 7.4) so any points scored will be well earned.

East Rochester proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by 31) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They slipped by Bishop Kearney 14-13. The win was familiar territory for the Bombers, who have now won three games in a row.

Meanwhile, Batavia owes their defense a big pat on the back after their performance on Monday. Everything went their way against Gananda Central as they made off with a 20-0 victory. Considering the Blue Devils have won four matches by more than 19 points this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Batavia is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 3.0 points on average over those games. As for East Rochester, their victory bumped their record up to 9-5-1.
