Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Plainview). They blew past the Madill Wildcats 18-1 on Monday. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.
Cooper Flowers was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Brylan Anderson was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Plainview is 4-2 when Anderson posts two or more runs, but 1-9 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Dane Dickerson, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.
