Soccer Game Preview: Karns vs. Heritage

The Karns Beavers will face off against the Heritage Mountaineers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Karns' offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Karns turned things around against Soddy Daisy on Sunday. The two teams finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked Karns' first draw of the season.

While Heritage didn't have the best season last year (they finished 0-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Carter on Sunday. That's two games straight that Heritage have won by just one goal.

Hayden Stickney and Gavin Wolfe scored both of Heritage's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

The victory made it two in a row for Heritage and bumps their season record up to 5-2. With that draw, Karns' record moves to 2-4-1.

Everything went Karns' way against Heritage when the teams last played back in April of 2019, as Karns made off with a 6-2 win. Will Karns repeat their success, or does Heritage has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
