Volleyball Recap: Evangel Christian Extends Home Winning Streak to Five

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Ballard Christian, Evangel Christian was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Sunshine S Saints with a sharp 3-0 victory.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Evangel Christian was: they took every set by at least 22 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-3, 25-2, 25-3.

Evangel Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Anna Carlisle, who had 12 aces. Those 12 aces gave Carlisle a new career-high. Makayla Cranford was another key player, hitting 100% for five kills and 22 aces and two blocks.

Evangel Christian's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-2.

Looking ahead, Evangel Christian will take on Tuscaloosa Home Educators in a tournament on Friday. Sunshine S has already played their next contest (against East Central HomeSchool), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
