Football Recap: Cypress Park Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Cypress Park lost against Waller back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Tigers were outmatched by the Bulldogs and fell 55-7. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 1068th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 344th).

Despite the defeat, Cypress Park saw an underclassman step up: sophomore William Warren rushed for 125 yards and one score, and also picked up 42 receiving yards.

Waller had a senior duo take command as Tre'Juan Boudreaux rushed for 91 yards and a pair of touchdowns and Robert Carter rushed for 95 yards and one TD. Boudreaux also punched in two rushing touchdowns, marking his first of the season.

Cypress Park's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Waller, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-3.

Cypress Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Waller, they will head out on the road to square off against Tomball at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Carter and Ian Thomas.
