Baseball Recap: Enumclaw Snaps 16-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Enumclaw dropped their record down to 10-2 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's 16-game streak of wins on the road dating back to last season. They fell just short of the Jefferson Raiders by a score of 2-1. The Hornets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Raiders earlier this season, when they won 5-2.

Enumclaw saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Thade Highfill, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. That double was Highfill's first of the season. Another was Landon Wall, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base.

As for Jefferson, their victory bumped their record up to 5-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since April 10, 2024.

On Jefferson's side, Wyatt Ford spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits. Ford has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

Enumclaw wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 4-3 victory against White River on the 17th. As for Jefferson, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-1 defeat against Capital on the 19th.
