Soccer Game Preview: Madera South vs. McLane

Madera South and McLane are an even 3-3 against one another since January of 2015, but likely not for long. The Madera South Stallions will be playing in front of their home fans against the McLane Highlanders at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Thursday, Madera South didn't have quite enough to beat Fresno and fell 3-2. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Stallions came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 165th, while the Warriors are ranked 553rd).

Sneijder Ortiz and Alan Avila scored both of Madera South's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for McLane, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Torres a 2-0 shutout on Thursday.

Madera South's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-3-6. As for McLane, their win bumped their record up to 9-5-2.
