Volleyball Recap: Hayes Pacers vs. Westerville South Wildcats
Hayes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Westerville South Wildcats, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 on April 8th.
Hayes took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-17, 25-18.
Their offense was headlined by Nick Pyles and Brysen Thomas, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Raymund Ramirez and his five assists.
Hayes' defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Westerville South, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Hayes will challenge rival Dublin Scioto at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Westerville South is set to face off against their familiar foe Worthington Kilbourne at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
