Baseball Recap: Bonsall Gets the Win

Bonsall's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They walked away with an 11-8 win over the Guajome Park Academy Frogs. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Legionnaires considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

Jabez Rios De Sabato was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Aiden Lee, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and three RBI.

The victory got Bonsall back to even at 1-1. As for Guajome Park Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bonsall will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Rock Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Guajome Park Academy, they will square off against Escondido Charter at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
