Volleyball Recap: Reagan's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak on the Road + How To Watch

Reagan was the 3-0 winner over Northwest Guilford when they last played one another on September 9th, but their luck changed this time around. The Raiders fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 3-2 on Thursday.

Reagan actually scored more points across those five sets (100-93), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-23, 13-25, 15-25, 15-7.

When it comes to explaining why Reagan lost, don't look at Brielynd Riddle. Despite the final result, she had 21 digs and three aces. Riddle is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 18 or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Taryn Strahm, who had three digs and three aces.

Leading Northwest Guilford to victory were Cali Straub and Olivia Peralta. Straub had ten digs and four assists, while Peralta had six digs. That's the most digs Peralta has posted over her last six matches.

Reagan's loss ended a five-match streak of away wins and brought them to 20-5. As for Northwest Guilford, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-7.

Coming up, Reagan will square off against Ardrey Kell at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Northwest Guilford, they will face off against West Forsyth at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
