Softball Recap: McComb Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when McComb faced off against North Baltimore on Friday. The Panthers fell 14-11 to the Tigers. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 13-2 to the Tigers when the teams met back in April of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

McComb saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lily Sebring, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Another was Joruney Scheff, who went 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

McComb's loss dropped their record down to 13-9. As for North Baltimore, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-7.

Looking ahead, McComb will square off against Hardin Northern at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Polar Bears have averaged an impressive 10.6 runs per game this season. North Baltimore does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
