Baseball Recap: Warren Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Warren entered their tilt with Taft on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Raiders. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Warriors have posted since April 2, 2024.

Alex Garza was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off seven hits (and only one walk). He is becoming a predictor of Warren's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is undefeated (and 5-7 when he doesn't). Garza was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one triple. That triple marked the first that he hit this season.

Garza wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Kevin Gutierrez, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Warren now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Taft, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.

Warren will have a chance to go back-to-back against Taft: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
