Volleyball Recap: Eldon Mustangs vs. Hickman Kewpies
Eldon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hickman Kewpies. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 3-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2023.
The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Hickman scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-23, 24-26, 25-17, 25-18.
Eldon's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 21-10-1. As for Hickman, they moved to 5-17-3 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
After both having extra time off, Eldon and Helias will shake off the cobwebs and square off against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hickman has already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Father Tolton on the 16th.
