Volleyball Preview: Pacific Ridge Firebirds vs. Helix Highlanders
The Pacific Ridge Firebirds will head out to square off against the Helix Highlanders at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Pacific Ridge took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over Madison.
The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-16, 23-25, 25-19.
Helix won the last time they faced West Hills, and Nathan Steele did his part to make sure it happened again. The Highlanders came out on top against the Wolf Pack by a score of 3-1 on Friday with plenty of help from Steele, who had 23 digs and three aces. He is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 13 or more in each of the last four games he's played.
