Basketball Recap: Poston Butte Now 7-2 over Last Nine Games

Poston Butte won the last time they faced Combs, and Symirah Gray did her part to make sure it happened again. The Poston Butte Broncos were the clear victor by a 61-41 margin over the Combs Coyotes on Thursday thanks in part to Gray, who went 13 of 27 on her way to 39 points along with eight boards and eight steals. Her evening made it 14 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren Hansen, who posted eight points in addition to 12 rebounds and three steals. Those 12 boards gave her a new career-high.

Poston Butte is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a massive bump to their 9-9 record this season. As for Combs, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-5.

Poston Butte will host ALA - Gilbert North at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Combs, they and Crismon will face off at 5:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Combs is facing Crismon at the right time seeing as Crismon is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
