Volleyball Recap: Angel Gomez Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat New Milford

Kolbe-Cathedral won the last time they faced New Milford and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Cougars put the hurt on the Green Wave with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.

While Kolbe-Cathedral won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-16, 26-24.

Kolbe-Cathedral got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Angel Gomez out in front who had 22 digs and two aces. Gomez is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had ten or more in each of the last 32 games he's played dating back to last season.

Kolbe-Cathedral pushed their record up to 8-9 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for New Milford, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.
