Soccer Game Preview: Beaver vs. Draper APA

The Beaver Beavers will square off against the Draper APA Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Beaver will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

Beaver gave up the first goal last Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them down. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Beavers who were credited with the victory. Beaver got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to Grand County's two. Two seems to be a good number for Beaver as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of goals in their previous game.

Ruby Lurth and Jocelyn Tapia scored both of Beaver's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 47 goals.

Draper APA is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to nine goals on Monday, they were much more limited against American Heritage on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 2-1. The loss continues a trend for Draper APA in their meetings with American Heritage: they've now lost three in a row.

Draper APA's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Beaver, their victory bumped their record up to 13-5.
