Softball Recap: Hurricane Comes Up Short

Hurricane was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 19-8 to the Salem Hills Skyhawks.

Ruby Seely stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she scored a run while going 3-for-3. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Anna Lee, who scored three runs while going 3-for-3.

Hurricane's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Salem Hills, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Hurricane Tigers take on Payson Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Salem Hills, they will head out on the road to face off against Uintah at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
