Adena extends road winning streak to 12

Recap: Adena Warriors vs. Paint Valley Bearcats

The Adena Warriors waltzed into their contest on Friday with eight straight wins but they left with nine. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Paint Valley 60-26 on the road. Given Adena's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 98th, while the Bearcats are ranked 684th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the defeat, Paint Valley saw an underclassman step up: Karris Dye dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds.

Adena pushed their record up to 17-1 with that victory, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.1 points per game. As for Paint Valley, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-15.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Adena will face off against the Shermans at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Unioto has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,248 points over their last 18 contests. As for Paint Valley, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Lions at 12:00 p.m. on January 27th. Fairfield is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
