Softball Recap: Kingston Tigers vs. Monroe-Woodbury Crusaders

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last three times Kingston and Monroe-Woodbury have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Wednesday. The Tigers fell just short of the Crusaders by a score of 6-5. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Crusaders this season, with their most recent defeat being a 7-1 loss on May 12th.

Kingston saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abigail Crantz, who went 1-for-3 with one run. Catalina Blazek also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Kingston's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Monroe-Woodbury, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-5.

As of now, neither Kingston nor the Crusaders have any future games scheduled.
