Baseball Recap: Watchung Hills Regional Comes Up Short

Watchung Hills Regional was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 7-3 to the Ridge Red Devil. The Warriors were not able to make up for their loss to the Red Devil from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Watchung Hills Regional saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was LANDON PUDLAK, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one RBI. ETHAN CLAYTON was another, going 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Watchung Hills Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Ridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Watchung Hills Regional will welcome Montgomery at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ridge, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hunterdon Central at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Red Devil are on a four-game streak of home wins, the Red Devils a three-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
