Volleyball Recap: Rylan Miller Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Riverdale

Sarasota posted their closest victory since September 21, 2024 on Friday. They skirted past the Riverdale Raiders 2-1. This was payback for the Sailors, who suffered a 2-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Sarasota's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rylan Miller, who had 14 digs. Those 14 digs gave Miller a new career-high. Mikala Moon was another key player, getting 12 digs.

Sarasota's victory bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Riverdale, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Coincidentally, Sarasota and Riverdale will both be playing North Port the next time they take the court. The Raiders will head out to face the Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Sailors will head out to face them on Saturday.
