Bogue Chitto came tearing into Tuesday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 37.4 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the West Lincoln Bears 72-36. Given the Bobcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 60th, while the Bears are ranked 233rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bogue Chitto has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.4 points per game. As for West Lincoln, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Bogue Chitto Bobcats duke it out with the Calhoun City Wildcats at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for West Lincoln, they will venture away from home to challenge Wilkinson County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
