Football Recap: Medford Extends Winning Streak to Three

Medford won against Bluejacket two weeks ago with 50 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Thursday. The Cardinals didn't even let the Watts Engineers on the board, marking the Cardinals' second-straight 50-0 shutout. The Cardinals' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

The victory (which was Medford's third in a row) raised their record to 5-2. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 50 points. As for Watts, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Medford will venture away from home to challenge Welch at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th. As for Watts, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bluejacket at 6:00 p.m. on the 31st.
