Soccer Recap: Canyon Takes a Loss

While it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Canyon was not quite West Ranch's equal in the second half on Tuesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the West Ranch Wildcats. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cowboys this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in December of 2024.

Canyon's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9-2. As for West Ranch, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-4-3.

Canyon and West Ranch could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Canyon will face off against Golden Valley at 5:00 p.m. on January 28th down 399 places (787 vs. 388). Meanwhile, West Ranch (ranked 504th) will meet Saugus (ranked 181st) at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
