Volleyball Recap: Flanagan-Cornell Comes Up Short

Flanagan-Cornell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Deer Creek-Mackinaw Chiefs. The Falcons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Chiefs earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Flanagan-Cornell may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored nine points in every single set they played. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-9.

Lani Pinkerton paced Flanagan-Cornell's offense, picking up four kills. Pinkerton were helped by Kaylee Delheimer and Billie Jo Shehorn, who contributed five assists each. Finally, Marley Highland kept Flanagan-Cornell's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Flanagan-Cornell's defeat dropped their record down to 16-13. As for Deer Creek-Mackinaw, the win got them back to even at 16-16.

Flanagan-Cornell has already played their next matchup (against Fisher), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Deer Creek-Mackinaw, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against LeRoy on the 21st.
