Basketball Recap: Bristow Takes a Loss

Bristow was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost to the Perkins-Tryon Demons at home by a 43-25 margin. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 265th, while the Demons are ranked 127th).

Melanie Kent was Bristow's leading scorer, having posted six points. Brenlynn Dowdy held things down on the boards with five rebounds. Skylar Jamison took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with three assists.

Bristow's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Perkins-Tryon, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-6.

Bristow didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 36-20 victory against Cleveland on the 7th. As for Perkins-Tryon, they have also already played their next matchup, a 57-50 win against Mannford on the 7th.
